J.L. Forrest is a writer of science fiction, fantasy, and speculative stories. He sometimes writes from the wet techno-jungles of the Pacific Northwest, sometimes from the high deserts of the Rocky Mountains, and sometimes from the Old Country in Roma, Italia.
This is a writer's site. It celebrates words, black on white, in the way I make them: typed (Courier), handwritten (Fredericka), or typeset (Garamond). Historically, of course, a rich relationship exists between art and speculative fiction; e.g., we know Conan as much by Frank Frazetta as by Robert E. Howard. Yet literature flowers through its words, in the prose, and this site emphasizes words.
In an age when visual media assault us daily, let's give the words a chance to breathe.
